iPhone 5

An update but nothing for the iPhone 5 ?

Please update!

It is not possible to save annotations and the digital ink does not look smooth! Please update this app!

Very cool...not bad for 1.0

This is a neat concept to get rid of extra cables to connect the iPad to a projector. It would be nice to see Dropbox support.

Ok!

It is an app for an Apple product, shouldnt it support Apple software (especially Keynote, which is way better than Powerpoint). This needs immediate addressing.

A good start

Its nice that its able to project pre-existing images (and pre-loaded documents). Need access to Dropbox so you dont have to run back to iTunes every time to load up the documents. Need access to camera so that you can take a picture and then project (okay, that would open up to project live video). Mirroring would be nice but thats likely a bigger step than theyre ready for!

Needs mirroring

Very limited app. Only loaded files are accessible. The potential is there, but the commitment is not. Lame app

Not able to use it

The problem is that when I turn the app on everything gets transferred except movies. I have iPhone 4S and that might be the problem (Processor power)

more cheese pls

the app went well until you try to "search" projector. im frustrated. works ok on my mcpro.im happy.

Connection problems

Cant connect to the projector

Good app, buts needs improvement

I just tried out the iProjection app on an iPhone 6 plus. I had to set the wifi name and password in the projectors settings and then I could connect my phone to the projector. I tried out showing pictures from my photo album, which worked well. A little slow in displaying a selected picture though. I also tried downloading a PowerPoint presentation and hitting the "open in" button to open it in the iProjection app. The ppt file displayed ok in 4:3 aspect ratio, but when I changed it to 16:9 (aspect ratio of projector) and 16:10, the image shifted up so that the top half of the slide appeared at the bottom of the screen. Changing the resolution didnt appear to make much of a difference if at all. The annotation feature is nice, but I would like to see the annotations persist in the presentation rather than saving as picture. Also the ppt document wasnt persistent in the the document folder of the app, which meant I had to go back to another app to open it in iProjection again. It may be that using iTunes to transfer files would result in them existing persistently in the documents folder. The app is a good start. I look forward to seeing improvements. Streaming video might be a bit much to expect for now though.

This app is poor

This app is quite poor. There are very few selections to do anything. I tried to use it to show a pdf on my iPhone 6 onto my Epson projector. I can connect to the projector and the app can find my photos but it doesnt find documents. I downloaded the doc to both iBooks and Adobe reader but still the app finds nothing. Worse, when I select documents it brings up a blank screen that looks like ruled paper but theres nothing there and pretty much no options that I could find to connect it to a document location. And the Epson about and help areas were useless as well

Improvements needed

When projecting a PowerPoint file, there is always a white band at the bottom. The band (and the content of the presentation!) move around the screen based on the ratio selected, but there is no option to have a PowerPoint presentation without a white band interrupting the image. Maybe this is okay to share a photo album with your family, but it is visually unimpressive for anything else.

Terrible

Doesnt support video or flash. Presentations have video and you cant stream from your phone to the projector. Waste of time. If they decide to fix it then it will be useful.

Good apps with improvement potential

It would be very useful to show not only loaded documents but also whats on the screen of ipad.

New feature

We will appreciate to share the Full phone screen on projector, not only contents like images or documents.

Not quite

Will not show entire Keynote presentation thru app, just the first page. Websites show, connection easy enough.

Connection issues

If all of a sudden youre having troubles connecting and your IP address begins with a 169.xxx with DHCP on, try turning off the wifi card by going into settings, Network and then wireless LAN power. Turn if off then save. Next turn it on and make sure youre connected to your wifi. This solved my problem. Basically the internal wifi card on my Epson 2045 was acting up and needed to be reset.

Dont get your hopes up

This app will not allow you to cast content from your phone or tablet to your Epson projector out of the box. A bit of searching online indicates that you also need a $100 LAN adapter to make this happen. Two stars as this is more a limitation of the projector itself, but the app should explain this instead of having you waste time on useless troubleshooting steps.

Poorly executed app

I bought this projector specifically to project from iPad. This app does not allow user to display all content on iPad. This app allows projection of photos, web, documents, or camera. However there is no easy process for transferring documents into the app to project. And as soon as user connects to Internet app disconnects from projector. What a waste of time. The idea is good but Epson failed on execution.
